Tech giant Google has officially announced that its AI Mode is now available in Hindi, making the advanced search feature more accessible to millions of Indian users. Along with Hindi, AI Mode is rolling out in four additional languages—Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese—bringing a truly global reach to this AI-powered experience.
Expanding Beyond English
Initially launched for Indian users in July 2025, AI Mode started with English support. The expansion to Hindi reflects Google’s focus on localization and inclusivity, ensuring that more users can benefit from conversational AI in their native language.
What is Google’s AI Mode?
AI Mode in Google Search is designed to deliver comprehensive, conversational responses to user queries. Instead of showing just a list of links, the mode uses a custom version of Gemini 2.5 to provide detailed answers, relevant references, and contextual information.
With AI Mode, users can:
Type, speak, or upload images to get rich, informative responses
Access relevant links alongside AI-generated answers
Ask follow-up questions for deeper engagement and clarity
Why Hindi Support Matters
India is one of the world’s largest internet markets, with a vast population that prefers browsing in regional languages. By adding Hindi support, Google is not only enhancing accessibility but also empowering students, professionals, and everyday users to interact with AI in a language they are most comfortable with.
Official Statement
Hema Budaraju, Vice President of Product Management, Search at Google, confirmed the development:
“AI Mode is now available in five new languages for users around the globe: Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese.”
The Future of AI in Search
With this expansion, Google continues to strengthen its commitment to making AI-powered search universal. By integrating multiple languages, the tech giant is ensuring that AI Mode becomes a global tool for learning, problem-solving, and discovery.
